Franklin’s oddness in some ways came from how smart he acted. He was like a little person almost. Nothing sums that up more than how he, like any sensible person, preferred to use pillows when he slept. Usually, a cat sleeps wherever and often on just a completely flat surface. Sometimes, it’s a comfy blanket. But that wasn’t enough for Franklin. No, he also needed to prop his head up with a pillow, preferably also made of some comfy thing. So his favorite place in our bed was right at the top with us:

That started too when he was young. The first night he was home he slept next to our heads right on the pillow. And of course he also sat like a normal cat too. Here he is with Geoff:

But he also loved to cozy up with a good pillow. And sometimes a blanket for good measure!

We liked to get cozy all together. Here’s our family:

Franklin got all snuggled up after the first time he got sick and he came home from the vet with his paw all shaved:

But for Franklin, a pillow could be anything, anything at all. Like a book:

Or a foot!

Or a steering wheel!

I loved finding Franklin all cozied up with his very own pillow:

Garrett & Anna
